New
cart provides protection and recharging for
eBooks
FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 7, 2010,
10:20 AM Eastern Time
South Hackensack,
NJ (Business Wire) With the release of Apple’s
iPad, schools and other organizations will be
looking at e-Readers in new and innovative
ways.
DATAMATION SYSTEMS, the nation’s leading
provider of netbook and notebook security carts
and cabinets, has introduced the first of a
series of secure, compact, efficient and
affordable storage solutions for these new
devices: the DS-NETVAULT-IP.
Old-style carts are
bulky and expensive and many lack anything more
than the most basic anti-theft protection. The
new NETVAULT-IP secures, stores and recharges as
many 40 iPads in a remarkably small footprint.
It is easy to move, providing fast and easy
access to technology. The cart’s small
footprint is especially important in tight
classroom spaces and makes the cart easy to
store.
It will also work
with other EBook readers, such as the Amazon
Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, and Sony Reader, as
well as many tablet PCs.
The NETVAULT-IP has
an innovative three-point locking system,
providing the most secure storage of any thing
in its class, protecting equipment from theft,
vandalism and unauthorized access. Its unique
locking method is far more secure than
conventional padlocks and provides better key
control and management options.
It is equipped with
ample outlets for recharging batteries and
powering peripherals. It is also equipped with
innovative wire management features, medical
grade wheels and adjustable dividers. The
interior can be reconfigured to accommodate
changing technologies, something that should be
important any institution concerned about
sustainability.
The new
DS-NETVAULT-IP will be available from major
computer companies and directly from Datamation
Systems. Additional information can found at
Datamation’s iPad and EBook security webpage.
